Christine Sogomo — Chair

Christine Sogomo is a seasoned executive in operations and customer experience, with over two decades of leadership across Africa’s financial and telecommunications sectors. She currently serves as Group Head of Customer Experience – East Africa at Old Mutual Investment Group.

Previously, she held senior roles at Jumia Kenya as Chief Operating Officer, Africa Lead of Customer Experience Operations at Airtel Africa, and led customer operations at Safaricom.

Christine holds professional certifications in financial management and operations from Kenyatta University and the Project Management Institute.

As Chair of Shepherds, she provides strategic oversight and governance leadership, driving excellence in service delivery, digital transformation, and stakeholder engagement.

Dr. Daniel Kibet Cheruiyot — Member

Dr. Daniel Cheruiyot is a physician, informatician, and entrepreneur with extensive experience in healthcare leadership and digital health innovation. He holds an MBChB from the University of Nairobi, an MBA in Healthcare Management from Strathmore University, and an MS in Health Informatics from Indiana University, USA.

Dr. Cheruiyot has previously served as CEO of Shepherds Hospital, Kenya, where he led modernization of clinical systems, quality improvement, and health service expansion. At Shepherds, Dr. Cheruiyot contributes strategic direction in health systems innovation, clinical governance, and digital transformation.

Dr. Miriam Mukoma — Member

Dr. Miriam Mukoma is an experienced medical administrator and clinician, currently serving as Assistant Director of Medical Services in Kenya’s Ministry of Health. She holds an MBA in Healthcare Management from Strathmore University and has led initiatives in clinical governance, quality assurance, and health systems strengthening.

Miriam brings deep sectoral insight to Shepherds, advising on policy alignment, regulatory compliance, and the integration of evidence-based care practices into community and hospital programs.

Namunyak Nkurunah — Company Secretary

Namunyak Nkurunah is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with extensive experience in corporate law, governance, and regulatory compliance. She has advised numerous organizations on company structuring, board governance, and statutory compliance under Kenyan corporate law.

As Company Secretary, Namunyak ensures that Shepherds operates in full compliance with legal and ethical standards, maintaining corporate integrity and effective communication between the board, management, and external stakeholders.

John Langat — Member

John Langat is a tax and public finance expert with over 15 years of experience in fiscal policy, taxation, and financial administration. His background includes leadership in national revenue management and compliance systems, as well as advising on public financial reforms and institutional capacity building.

At Shepherds, John provides expertise in financial oversight, governance, and fiscal accountability, helping to ensure the organization’s sustainability and transparency.
